Peanuts are commonly used in food preparing purposes for food taste and flavor. It is one of the most commonly used spice. Peanut is known to us as ground nuts. It is an oil producing spice. The spice peanut is native to the Western Hemisphere. It is now cultivated in most of the countries in the world as it is a highly consumable spice.
The peanut plant is small in size. The plant's body is soft and contains green leaves. Peanuts are grown under soil just like potato, turmeric, onion, garlic etc. At harvest time the leaves of the plant changed its color from green to brown.
The peanut is covered with two shells. Outer shell is harder than the inner shell. Inner shell is brown in color and very thin. Peanut can be used as a whole, grinding as powder or making oil. Peanut oil is a popular oil for cooking for its mild flavor. It is considered as healthful oil.
Peanut has high nutrition value, contains sodium, potassium, carbohydrate, iron and magnesium. It contains vitamin C and B6. We can get health benefits by using it with our food. Different food preparation, curries, salad, specially in bakeries used the peanut more. For cake, biscuits, bread and other bakery products used peanut for more taste and flavor.
